6. 1. <br />Park and Recreation Commission <br />Meeting Date: 08/13/2026 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Connect the community through Parks, Trails and Recreational Programming <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Consider the Park and Recreation Commission Presence at the 2026 Happy Days Festival <br />Purpose/Background: <br />In previous years, the Commission has participated in the September Happy Days event with individual <br />Commissioners taking 'shifts' at the city booth. This has been beneficial in terms of providing park and recreation <br />related information to the public, and also garnering feedback from residents on their desires and priorities for the <br />ciyt's park system. <br />Notification: <br />This year's festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 12.
