be formally adopted by council at the April 24th Council meeting. Mr. Jankowski advised staff
recommends that the proposed MSA system modifications be forwarded to MnDOT for
incorporation into the City's State Aid System.

Acting Chairperson Olson stated she cannot think of a more worthy candidate to be included in
the Municipal State Aid System than the suggested street segment.

Mayor Gamec questioned if upgrades would be required on CR 63 prior to the tumback to the
City.

Public Works Director Olson explained the City is not required to own or reconstruct the road
right away in order to designate it as a MSA street. There will still be discussions regarding the
upgrade of the road.

Councilmember Dehen asked if there is any down side to this MSA designation.

City Engineer Jankowski responded in the negative.

Acting Chairperson Olson commented this is a logical stretch of road to be included in the MSA
street designation.

Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to recommend to City Council
that the proposed MSA system modifications be forwarded to MnDOT for incorporation into the
City's State Aid System.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Olson, Mayor Gamec and Councilmember
Dehen. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Elvig.

Case #3:

Review 2007 Storm Sewer Improvements

City Engineer Jankowski stated the 2007 to 2011 Capital Improvement Plan contains no major
storm sewer projects for 2007 other than annual sedimentation pond cleaning. The City has in
recent years been reviewing the drainage conditions within the areas scheduled for work
associated with the annual street maintenance program. The Public Works department has
identified a list of locations, which should be investigated for drainage improvements within this
year's projects. In addition, several problem areas were reported to staff as a result ofthe resident
meeting, which was held on January 31, 2007. Mr. Jankowski indicated included in the
Committee's packet are maps identifying the location of each of the drainage issues along with a
corresponding list containing a description of the problem and remedy being considered. In
addition, two improvements not related to storm water drainage are also identified on the maps
and list. These both consist of improving temporary cul-de-sacs at the ends of streets that are
planned for future extensions.

City Engineer Jankowski advised staff will need to investigate each of these potential storm
sewer improvements to prepare an estimate of the cost. At this point the goal is to identify a
complete list of improvements to be considered.'
