City of Ramsey <br />15153 NOWTHEN BOULEVARD N.W., RAMSEY, MINNESOTA 55303 • (612) 427-1410 <br />February 28, 1985 <br />Honorable Mayor, City Councilmembers and <br />Citizens of the City of Ramsey <br />Submitted herewith is the annual budget for the City of Ramsey <br />covering the period from January 1, 1985 to December 31, 1985. <br />This report was prepared by the City's Finance Department based <br />upon the recommendations of the various department heads and City <br />Administrator, estimates from the staff and City Engineer, and <br />direction from the Mayor and Council. We believe the data, as <br />presented, is accurate in all material aspects; that it is <br />presented in a manner designed to fairly estimate the financial <br />operations of the City for the year; and that all disclosures <br />necessary to enable the reader to gain the maximum understanding <br />of the City's operations have been included. <br />This report is divided into seven sections, an introductory <br />section, summary section, and five sections devoted to individual <br />fund types. <br />Section I Introduction <br />Section II Summary of all funds <br />Section III General Fund <br />Section IV Special Revenue Funds <br />Section V Debt Service Funds <br />Section VI Capital Projects Funds <br />Section VII Trust Funds <br />City and Its Services <br />Ramsey was organized as a township in 1857 and incorporated as a <br />city in 1974. It is located on the northwest border of Anoka <br />County, approximately 20 miles from Minneapolis. The City has 32 <br />square miles of land within the corporated boundaries. <br />-4- <br />
