2. 4. <br />CC Work Session <br />Meeting Date: 10/13/2026 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Not Applicable <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Responsible Contractor Acknowledgment Proposed Language and Resolution Review <br />Purpose/Background: <br />At the September 22, 2026 City Council work session, the Council agreed to require responsible contractor acknowledgment <br />per MN Stat 16C.285, subd. 3 for projects receiving city funding greater than $50,000. The attached resolution memorializes <br />the City's policy requiring compliance with the statute responsible contractor for projects receiving city funding greater than <br />$50,000. <br />Staff also added language to the Business Assistance Application (attached) for your review. The business application reads: <br />The applicant acknowledges and agrees that receiving financial assistance from the City valued at more than $50,000 <br />shall be required to meet the minimum criteria for a responsible contractor identified in Minn. Stat. § 16C.285, subd. 3, and <br />shall comply with the reporting requirements provided in Minn.
