5. 11. <br />CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 10/13/2026 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Not Applicable <br />Title: <br />Adopt Resolution 1#26 288 #26-228 Responsible Contractor Resolution <br />Purpose/Background: <br />At the September 22, 2026, City Council work session, the Council agreed to require responsible contractor <br />acknowledgment per MN Stat 16C.285, subd. 3 for projects receiving city funding greater than $50,000. The attached <br />resolution memorializes the City's policy requiring compliance with the statute responsible contractor for projects receiving <br />city funding greater than $50,000. <br />Staff also added language to the Business Assistance Application (attached) for your review. The business application reads: <br />The applicant acknowledges and agrees that receiving financial assistance from the City valued at more than $50,000 shall <br />be required to meet the minimum criteria for a responsible contractor identified in Minn. Stat. § 16C.285, subd. 3, and shall <br />comply with the reporting requirements provided in Minn. Stat. § 16C.285, subd. 4, 5, and 6, as applicable. At the <br />September 22, 2026 City Council work session, the Council agreed to require responsible contractor acknowledgment per <br />MN Stat 16C.285, subd. 3 for projects receiving city funding greater than $50,000.
