Council expressed interest in arranging a County presentation after the ACEIT discussion.
City Administrator Hagen also suggested beginning work on legislative priorities before the
January legislative session so longstanding City issues could potentially be developed into
proposals.
The Council discussed whether cannabis -related penalties should be considered alongside tobacco
compliance and enforcement. Members asked about the available sanctions for cannabis
registration violations, possible monetary penalties, and potential legislative changes supported by
law enforcement organizations. Council requested that the relationship between cannabis and
tobacco enforcement remain on staffs radar for future discussion.
4. MAYOR / COUNCIL / STAFF INPUT
None.
5.
