Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #26-250 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR 2027 PAVEMENT <br />MARKING IMPROVEMENTS; IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #27-11 <br />WHEREAS, visible pavement marking is a critical component of driver and pedestrian safety and <br />are a required maintenance operation per MSA rules and standards; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2026 — 2035 Capital Improvement Plan includes an annual Pavement Marking <br />Improvement project to perform pavement markings on a 5-year cycle, outside of reconstructions and <br />pavement overlays; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted a budget for 2027 includes $685,000.00 for street <br />maintenance contracted services, including to refresh pavement markings on numerous public street <br />segments in support of the City's Pavement Management Program; and <br />WHEREAS, City Staff has the capacity to prepare plans and specifications for 2027 Pavement <br />Marking Improvements, Improvement Project #27-11. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Ramsey City Council hereby orders the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for <br />2027 Pavement Marking Improvements, Improvement Project #27-11. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 27th day of October, 2026. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />[Type here] <br />
