Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #26-249 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TERMINATION OF LEASE WITH MILLE LACS MOTOR SPORTS II, INC. WHEREAS, Mille Lacs Motor Sports II, Inc. (the "Tenant") has leased indoor and outside storage space located at 6781 and 6745 Hwy 10 NW and depicted as "Area A, B, C, D and E" (the "Lease Space") on the attached lease agreement dated May 28, 2025 for several years; and WHEREAS, Mille Lacs Motor Sports II, Inc. (the "Tenant") entered into the First Amendment to Lease on January 27, 2026 for outside storage space adjacent to 6781 Hwy 10 NW and depicted as "Areas A and B (the "Lease Space"); and WHEREAS, Mille Lacs Motor Sports II, Inc. (the "Tenant") entered into the Second Amendment to Lease on May 26, 2026 for outside storage space adjacent to 6781 Hwy 10 NW and depicted as "Areas A and B (the "Lease Space"); and WHEREAS, Mille Lacs Motor Sports II, Inc. (the "Tenant") entered into the Third Amendment to Lease on August 31, 2026 for outside storage space adjacent to 6781 Hwy 10 NW and depicted as "Areas A and B (the "Lease Space"); and WHEREAS, Mille Lacs Motor Sports, Inc. (Power Lodge) has been a good tenant for the duration of its previous leases with the City and it current lease is set to end on November 30, 2026; and WHEREAS, Mille Lacs Motor Sports II, Inc. and 6781 Properties, LLC have requested the City terminate the lease and all lease amendments at the time Tract A, Registered Land Survey No. 249 is sold to 6781 Properties, LLC; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney has drafted a Termination of Lease Agreement with the flexibility to insert the closing date and recommends approval WHEREAS, Mille Lacs Motor Sports II, Inc. is in Good Standing with the Secretary of State of Minnesota as of October 20, 2026. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey authorizes execution of the Termination of Lease Agreement with Mille Lacs Motor Sports II, Inc.; subject to City Attorney review.
