We have again been unable to secure the services of a veterinarian for the event. However, during the month of May, the Ramsey Police Department will be pro- viding dog and cat licenses at no charge. Dog and cat licenses are good for two years, or until expiration of the pet's rabies vaccination. You can obtain your free license at the Ramsey Police Department, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, during the month of May. You must provide a copy of your pet's current rabies vaccination at that time. City Ordinance requires that all dogs and cats over six months of age be licensed. Licensing helps us identify found pets and return them to their own- ers. Please contact the Ramsey Police Department at 763-427-6812 if you have questions. Free Dog and Cat Licenses During May Did you Imow that the City of Ramsey's website, www.ci.ramsey. mn.us, contains linl(s to over 700,000 City documents? Site users may access these documents plus other information that is scanned into our internal document imaging system, such as agendas and minutes for City Council and all boards and com- missions. Ordinances, resolutions, City Code, public meeting schedule, zoning information, and the Com- prehensive Plan are more examples of the types of information available on-line. Also available, is a docu- ment delivery system which gener- ates email notifications whenever certain areas of the website have been updated. If you are interested in this, you may sign up by going to the "My Ramsey" tab of the City's website where you will be able to choose from a list of available notification choices. You may add or remove your name from the list of choices, or cancel the subscription service com- pletely at any time. Our employment notification list is the most popular with over 1600 subscribers. Recent numbers indicate that the City of Ramsey's website is viewed by more than 15,000 visitors per month! They may be checl(- ing out the Ramsey Star Express bus schedule, reading the Ramsey Resident on-line, or maybe they're researching Building permits. Please contact Amy Dietl at 763-433- 9830 or adietl@ci.ramsey.mn.us if you have questions. ~ Spring Water Main Flushing In April The Public Works Depart- ment will be doing their semi-annual flushing of watermains beginning Monday, April 9 through Wednesday, April 25. Please be aware that this flushing, while it is necessary, will create a disturbance in the system and may cause your water to be discol- ored. Although the water may be discolored by iron, it is fit for human consumption but it may stain clothes that are being washed. To alleviate this problem, you may want to fill your washer with water and checl( on its clarity before adding your clothes.
