Projects such
as the PACT Charter School, the
new municipal parking facility, NAU
Insurance, several residential subdivi-
sions, Ramsey Municipal Center, and
Coborn's Grocery with it's surround-
ing commercial area have all tal(en
shape as anticipated.
It is with great sadness how-
ever that we've recently said goodbye
to the project's main developer, Mr.
Bruce Nedegaard. Mr. Nedegaard
passed away in November after a
long illness. He had a long reputation
of successful residential and com-
mercial development in the metro
area and will be sadly missed in the
Minnesota development community.

Town Center Today
The Ramsey Town Center
project has been experiencing finan-
cial difficulties due to the declining
marl(et conditions for development
during the past two years and the
uncertainty of the leadership of the
Ramsey Town Center LLC develop-
ment group due to Mr. Nedegaard's
health.
It is important to draw a
distinction between Ramsey Town
Center LLC and the city of Ramsey.
Ramsey Town Center LLC is a

Continued on Page 10

www.ci.ramsey.mn.us

Volume 22 · Number 1
