CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, February 27, <br />2007, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Also Present: Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />City Clerk Jo Thieling <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Management Intern Timothy Gladhill <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Jim Deal and Curt Martinson of PSD, LLC <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:21 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1) Fire Station #2 Replacement <br />Fire Chief Kapler reviewed that in late 2006, staff presented the Fire Station No. 2 Feasibility <br />Report prepared by BKV Group with regard to the short-term and mid -term use of Fire Station <br />No. 2 and costs for the construction of the new Fire Station No. 2. The Feasibility Report <br />provided detailed information regarding the three options: <br />• Minimal stabilization of current facility until new construction <br />• Partial demo of the facility until new construction <br />• Full demo and new construction <br />City Council Work Session / February 27, 2007 <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
