More specifically, you were interested in their impact on neighboring single family
dwellings.

As the assessor responsible for the assessment of all apartment buildings within the areas Anoka
County contracts with, I am familiar with apartment buildings and the neighborhoods
surrounding them. Included in this group are numerous senior apartment projects located in
various locations throughout the county.

In addition, as the Deputy Anoka County Assessor I am continuously reviewing the real estate
market looking for trends and taking appropriate action for all types of property. In the past we
have found that proximity to certain land uses has impacted the value of real property (airport,
major highways, etc.). Thu~ far we have not found any evidence of any loss in value a~ributed
to single family residences in close proximity to a senior apartment project.

If you or anyone has any additional questions do not hesitate to call me at 323-5482.

Vrely' ~
Deputy Anoka County Assessor

cc: Ed Thurston, Anoka County Assessor

Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer
