The following is a <br />brief summary of actions taken by the City Council that may be of interest to the Planning <br />Commission: <br /> <br />John Peterson Metes and Bounds Subdivision. As part of the terms of final plat approval for <br />Brookfield (235 single family lots at Nowilien Blvd, and 167" Avenue N,W,), Mr, Peterson of <br />Oakwood Land Development was required to provide an alternate route for the extension of <br />167m Avenue to the west, south of the plat. :Mr. Peterson has acquired 3 parcels along that route <br />and on February 27. the CitY Council granted an exception to the subdivision moratorium and a <br />variance to the platting requirement to facilitate deeding future road right-of-way to the City. <br /> <br />Pine Prairie Preliminary Plat and Preliminary Site Plan. This subdivision is the 9 tovmhomes <br />on the west side ofNowilien Blvd"just south of 146" Avenue, On March 13, the Council tabled <br />action and directed City Staff to draft Findings of Fact to support deuial of the preliminary plat <br />based on traffic safety concerns. This case is tentatively scheduled to go back to City Council on <br />April 10, <br /> <br />Ebony Woods, Recall that the applicant was at the Planning Co=ission for preliminary plat <br />review last September, 2006. 1bis plat consists of the 6 twinhomes, south of Superbowl. Since <br />that time, the preliminary plat has been before the Council for .consideration at a work session on <br />October 10th, and regular Council meetings on November 14th, December 28th, and January 9, <br />2007. The primary reason for the delay has been the consideration of new elevations for the <br />twinhome buildings, <br /> <br />Ramsey3/0ST, The third of four Ramsey3 lecture series was held on March 29, The fourth <br />lecture is scheduled for Thursday, April 12. The subject on April 12 is transportation <br />alternatives and the speaker is Dan Burden of Orlando, Florida. The Open Space Technology <br />visioning process is scheduled for Friday evening, May 4', and all day Saturday, May 5. <br /> <br />" <br />Commissioner Appreciation Dinner.
