Mr. Boos noted an error in the report in that the dollars for the Central Park expansion and land <br />payments should be shown from the General Fund each year. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos noted the tennis court project for Central Park is back in the plan after having a project <br />delay in 1998. <br /> <br />Chair Cook stated if they can obtain the acreage the tennis courts can be constructed. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos went through the budget line by line with the following comments: <br /> <br />Construction of the core infrastructure for the Community Park will begin in the year 2000 and <br />approximately $110,000 has been received from the Apple Ridge park dedications. <br /> <br />Outlot A, a private peninsula on the fiver held by a developer, is the only island within Ramsey. <br />The City will negotiate with the owner who owns the property to obtain land for a park. <br /> <br />The dollars for the trail to 149th Avenue will be shown from the Park Trust Fund, in that its <br />expected development will occur along County Road/ti 16, providing a development opportunity. <br /> <br />The Community Center project 2004 was discussed. <br /> <br />The total $300,000 for the elevated pedestrian crossing of Highway/tl0 project may not be <br />enough. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos noted the City Council has not yet acted on the C.I.P. proposal. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum asked if this was the last time they would be looking at the budget before <br />Council approval. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated it did not have to be. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman noted the City Council will be having a budget workshop at the end of this month. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated the Council will need to see the budget in their recommended version. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostrum and seconded by Commissioner LaMere to approve the Five <br />Year Parks C.I.P. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chair Cook, Commissioners Ostrum, LaMere, Asfahl, <br />Droegemueller, Johns, and Rolfe. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case/43: Recommend Completion and Budget for Apline Park - First Phase <br /> <br />It was noted that earlier this year, the primary contractor in Alpine Park's development completed <br />their work and was paid a total of $319,732. A total of $460,655 was available for the <br />construction of the park.
