Norman <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Fire Chief/Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman called the regular meeting of the Road and Bridge Committee to <br />order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Discuss 149th Avenue Traffic Situation and Other Related Traffic Calming <br />Issues <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski noted Police Chief Gustafson is available to present some information <br />he has gathered with relation to 149th Avenue traffic, and also information from the emergency <br />service provider's point of view relating to cul-de-sacs. <br /> <br />Police Chief Gustafson disseminated a one-year tally of speeding citations given out from March <br />1997 to March 1998. He also presented a map outlining the same area. <br /> <br />A resident who lives on Uranimite and 150th stated the traffic is unimpeded anywhere in the area <br />of 149th -- there are no stop signs. <br /> <br />Bob Hanson, 14960 Uranimite Street NW, Ramsey, felt that a cul-de-sac is a good idea.
