<br />ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY BOARD <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />On Thursday, March 15,2007. the Environmental Policy Board (BPB) met at Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />7550 Sun wood Drive, Mississippi River Room, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Joe McDilda <br />Board Member Bob Bentz <br />Board Member John Freeburg <br />Board Member Jon Olds <br />Board Member Bob Sibilski <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Board Member Michael Max <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Environmental Coordinator Chris Anderson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />POLlCY BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Award Contract for Natural Resource Inventory <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that the Board was here tonight to review two proposals the City received for <br />a Natural Resources Inventory (NRl). Chairperson McDilda asked each of the Board Members to offer <br />their opinions, <br /> <br />Coordinator Anderson stated that there are a couple of updates that the Board should be aware of prior to <br />discussing the proposals. First, Board Member SibiIski had asked earlier this afternoon if Applied <br />Ecological Services (AES) had pr9vided a breakdown of proposed hours per task. More specifically, <br />Board Member SibiIski was interested to know how much time AES proposed to spend in the field, <br />Coordinator Anderson was unable to contact Doug Mensing directly as he was giving a presentation this <br />afternoon and was not available. However, Mr. Mensing did leave a voice message for Coordinator <br />Anderson stating that AES was anticipating about 3-4 days of field work for two people and that the <br />dollar amount in AES' proposal reflected that. <br /> <br />Coordinator Anderson also stated that he contacted Bonestroo regarding the need to include a section on <br />recommendations for periodically updating the NRI. Paul Bockenstedt of Bonestroo informed <br />Coordinator Anderson that they would be happy to include a section in the final report regarding <br />periodically updating the NRL Furthermore, Mr. Bockenstedt informed Coordinator Anderson that he <br />was authorized to slightly revise the cost of the NRl project and that Bonestroo could complete the work <br />outlined in the proposal for a not to exceed amount of $34,464.00. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda thanked Coordinator Anderson for the updates and proceeded to ask each. Board <br />Member to offer their opinion on the two proposals, <br />
