<br />Councilmernber introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE UTILIZATION OF <br />P AlD-ON-eALL FIREFIGHTERS FOR FIRE CODE INSPEeTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the backlog, of fIre inspections has created a need to provide <br />assistance to the fire marshal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the fire department has used firefighters to assist with pre-planning <br />activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the fire chief recommends leveraging the training and skills and <br />existing paid-on-call firefighters. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE elTY eOUNelL OF THE <br />elTY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA eOUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confmns the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to authorize the creation of a part-time temporary paid-on- <br />call fire inspector assignment. <br /> <br />2) The pool of employees given this assignment will be paid $191hour and will work <br />up to 10 hours per week. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon. the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: , <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the I3ID day of January, 2004. <br /> <br />-151- <br />
