Mr. Jankowski advised staff <br />recommends that the PJoposed MSA system modifications be forwarded to MnDOT for <br />incorporation into the City's State Aid System. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Olson stated she cannot think of a more worthy candidate to be included in <br />the Municipal State Aid System than the suggested street segment. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec questioned if upgrades would be required on CR 63 prior to the tumback to the <br />City. <br /> <br />Pul)lic Works Director Olson explained the City is not required to own or reconstruct the road <br />right away in order to designate it as a MSA street. There will still be discussions regarding the <br />upgrade of the road. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked if there is any down side to this MSA designation. <br /> <br />City Engi~eer Jankowski respo~ded in the negative. <br /> <br />Acting ChaUperson Olson commented this is a logical stretch of road to be included in the MSA <br />street designation. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to .recommend to City Council <br />that the proposed MSA system modifications be forwarded to MnDOT for incorporation into the <br />City's State Aid System. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting y.es: - Acting Chairperson Olson, Mayor Gamec and Councilmember <br />. Dehen. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Elvig. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Review 2007 Storm Sewer Improvements <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated the 2007 to 2011 Capital hnprovemenl Plan contains no m~or <br />storm sewer projects for 2007 other than annual sedimentation pond cleaning. The City has in <br />recent years been. reviewing .the d.rainag~, conditions withiri the areas. scheduled for, work <br />associated with the annual street maintenance program. TIie Public Works department haS <br />identified. a list oflocations, which should be investigated for drainage improvements within.this <br />year's projects. In addition.; several problem are~ were reported to staff as a result of the resident <br />meeting, which was held on Jannary 31, 2007. Mr. Jankowski indicated included in the <br />Committee's packet are maps identifying the location of each of the drainage issues along with a <br />corresponding list containing a description of the problem and remedy being considered. In <br />addition, two improvements .not related. to storm water drainage are also identified on the maps <br />and list. These both consist of improving temporary cuI-de-sacs at the ends of streets that are <br />planned for future extensions. . <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski advised staff will need to investigate each of these potential stenn <br />sewer improvements to prepare an estimate of the cost.
