<br />Councilmember Jeffrey noted there will still be soft costs involved if the billing is brought in- <br />house. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated they are currently complaining about poor service from Connexus. <br />This will relate to the City for awhile if this is brought in-house, which will involve soft costs as <br />well. He stated he likes the component of being able to send information with the billings. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted in SOfie cities there is information included in the billings from different <br />groups that are charged for the postage. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated the City currently pays Connexus $57,000 annually, and if there is <br />less than adequate service, that should be included in the contract to hold Connexus accountable. <br />If it is determined to continue utilizing Connexus, there needs to be an agreement signed that <br />includes the service expectations. Connexus is being paid a lot of money for an essential service, <br />and they need to provide the expected service to the residents and staff.
