CASE #,y SKATE PARK PLANNING- PRESENTATION FROM VENDORS By: Mark Riverblood, Park's Supervisor Background: The purpose of this case is to receive a brief presentation from skate pazk vendors. The primazy focus of this invitation is to assist the Commission in determining (at the time of component purchase), whether the Request for Proposal (RFP) process should be used - or if detailed specifications should be developed with subsequent sealed bids. Observations: It is expected that two vendors, E. F. Anderson, and St. Croix Recreation will make a presentation to the Commission and be available for questions. The representatives have been directed to highlight the RFPBid question and provide examples (successes or problems) associated with this issue. The balance of their presentation will consist of reviewing the different choices of products e.g. concrete versus composite materials (20% of their scheduled time). Less than 10% of the vendors' time should be considered for discussing their fimts' capabilities and offerings. Each vendor will be afforded up to 15 minutes.
