CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Fire Chief/Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br />Senior Accountant Diana Lund <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY THE RAMSEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REGARDING <br />COMPUTER AVAILABILITY AND EDUCATION PROGRAM <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec reported that the City of Ramsey has donated several of its used computers and <br />computer equipment to the Ramsey Elementary School to be used for a computer education <br />program to benefit the community. <br /> <br />Stan Peichel, Principal of Ramsey Elementary School, Gordy Sironen, Technology Coordinator <br />for Ramsey Elementary School, and Bill Burke, Technology Facilitator for the Anoka cluster of <br />schools, presented a summary of the computer availability and education program which will <br />benefit children and adults and will be scheduled through community education. This program <br />includes access to the computers, scanners, printers, and the Intemet.
