2) Review Proposed Job Description for Community Development Director Position <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bcahen and seconded by Councilmcmber Beyer to approve the <br />Community Development Director position and to authorize staff to begin the process of fill the <br />position. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: CouncilmemberHaas Steffen. <br /> <br />3) Consider Proposed Policy Regarding Full-Time City Employees Serving in the Fire <br /> Department <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman explained that the proposed policy regarding full-time City <br />employees serving in the Fire Department was recommended for adoption by the Personnel <br />Committee. A full-time employee would be eligible to serve on the Fire Department, however, <br />they would not be paid overtime for a fire call. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt the policy <br />entitled "Employee Participation in Ramsey's Volunteer Fire Department". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, and Zimmerman. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberHaas Steffen. <br /> <br />4) Police Chief's Performance Appraisal and End of Probationary Period <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that all present at the Personnel Committee expressed <br />satisfaction with Police Chief Gustafson's performance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt Resolution <br />#98-04-061 ending the one-year probationary period for Police Chief David Gustafson. <br /> <br />Motion carded.
