<br />Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-03-083 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE USE OF $8,875 OF COUNCIL CONTINGENCY <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING 50% OF THE COST OF GRINDING AND <br />DISPOSAL OF STORM DEBRIS FROM THE SEPTEMBER 21,2005 STORM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey experienced a storm on September 21, 2005 that caused <br />substantial damage to property within the city; .and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey provided clean-up services to the residents and <br />businesses to assist in disposal of tree and brush debris caused by the storm; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the debris was collected at two drop-off sites (city hall campus and <br />Traprock Park); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the final step in storm Cleanup will be to grind and dispose of the debris at <br />the two drop-off sites. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby orders the transfer of $8,875 from the council contingency <br />(which represents 50% of the total expense) to be used for the grinding and disposal fo <br />the storm debris from September 21, 2005. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Jeffrey and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br />
