The Cable Commission needs more time to negotiate <br />a new cable franchise agreement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to introduce <br />an ordinance to amend Cable Franchise Ordinance, Article II, Section 4, Franchise Term. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas <br />Steffen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Report from Road and Bridge Committee <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski reported that the Road and Bridge Committee met on <br />Wednesday, September 16, and discussed seven cases. <br /> <br />1) Drainage Easement Filling <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski stated that this case involved the City response to the partial filling of a <br />drainage easement on Lot 1 and Lot 2 of Block 2 of Pondvale 2nd Addition. The Road <br />and Bridge Committee directed that the City contact the owners and suggest that the <br />placed fill be removed, that four inches of topsoil be imported and spread over the side <br />slopes of the pond area and that sod be placed on the side slope. All this work would be <br />done by the City and a cost estimate will be given to the Council at their October 13 <br />meeting. <br /> <br />2) Access to Foster Cemetery <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski stated that the City has acquired a 33' strip we ean enter the cemetery at <br />the Bury and Carlson plat and a 33' access easement on the eastern border of the Bury <br />and Carlson Addition to the north side of the Foster Cemetery. The City Attorney was <br />directed to review the agreement and the Public Works Department was directed to <br />construct a minimum maintenance road to the site. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman <br />to ratify the direction of the Road and Bridge Committee which is that the City Attorney <br />review the easement agreement with Bury and Carlson and that the Public Works <br />Department construct a minimum maintenance road to the Foster Cemetery site. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Haas Steffen commented on the need for a parking <br />area also. Director of Public Works KapIer stated his department will work on that. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, <br />Zimmerman, Beahen and Beyer.
