Norman <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Fire Chief/Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br />Finance Director Diana Lund <br />Community Development Director Cindy Sherman <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. and called upon <br />Councilmember Zimmerman to lead the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY RAMSEY ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL STAN PEICHEL ON <br />CLEMENTINE HUNTER ART EXHIBIT 1998 <br /> <br />Stan Peichel, Ramsey Elementary School Principal, invited the Mayor, Council, and community <br />to visit the Ramsey Elementary School for the Bridges Celebration, a community event that <br />presents art, technology, music, reading, etc., which will be held on October 27, 1998, from 6:30 <br />p.m. to 8:00 p.m. He stated they have the honor of displaying nine original pieces of art from <br />Clementine Hunter for this exhibit. Mr. Peichel presented information regarding this event and <br />explained how children have been trained to participate in this event and learn more about Ms. <br />Hunter's form of art. Mr. Peichel added that they will also present their newly opened Literacy <br />Center and are interested in using this computer and Internet equipment as a community resource <br />for all to enjoy.
