A meeting has been held which included the City of Ramsey, the City of Anoka and <br />Anoka County regarding the potential expansion of C.R. #116 between T.H. #47 and' <br />C.R. #57 to a four-lane divided median road. The City Engineer plans to draft a proposal <br />to send out for a corridor study. The study will include all the way to Armstrong. <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen inquired where this is in the budget and Mr. Norman <br />indicated it would be paid for with TIF. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman <br />that staff be directed to bring numbers showing the amount of participation by Anoka <br />City and Anoka County and the City of Ramsey and where Ramsey will get the money <br />from to the next Road and Bridge Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, <br />Zimmerman, Beahen and Beyer. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Report of Water Study Consultant Selection Process <br /> <br />Mr. Kapler reported that the City has rated the information received from the firms and <br />have narrowed it down to four firms. Interviews will be scheduled. <br /> <br />5) Discuss Drainage Outlet for Business Park 95 <br /> <br />Mr. Kapler explained that the City was recently contacted by Anoka requesting a <br />statement of intent as to whether Ramsey may wish to utilize its storm drainage system as <br />an outlet for the Business Park 95 storm drainage. It was the consensus of the Road and <br />Bridge Committee that an alternative which would develop a storm outlet to the south <br />would be more advantageous to the City since it would provide the opportunity to drain <br />approximately 150 acres of commercial land along Highway #10. <br /> <br />Case #13: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />1) Receive Information about Health Insurance for Elected Officials <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith pointed out that this case is strictly for <br />informational purposes. No action is necessary. <br /> <br />2) Consider Re-appointments to Planning Commission <br />- and - <br />3) Receive Recommendations for Planning Commission Appointments <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to <br />appoint Christopher Dempsey to the Planning Commission to complete the term of <br />Michael Terry which expires 12/31/01, appoint M.A. (Robert) Johnson to the Planning <br />Commission for a term to expire 2003, appoint Michael Nixt to the Planning Commission <br /> <br />City Council/November 24, 1998 <br /> Page 13 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
