Last year there were over 45 volunteers connected with this event — more would be <br />expected this year (75 people showed up to put nets on the goals this past weekend for <br />the regular soccer program as an example). <br />With the spring improvements to Elmcrest like the landscaping, better turf quality and <br />drinking fountain/mister — there is even more reason to call attention to Ramsey's <br />successes. <br />Funding: <br />There are no significant cash expenditures from the city's general funded required — as NLS <br />would reimburse the city for purchases like portable toilet rental, etc. Staff labor contributions <br />for the event (which are considerable), can be accommodated into park operations with adequate <br />planning time. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to authorize staff and Northern Lights Soccer to proceed with application and planning to <br />host the MYSA North District Tournament for 2007. <br />Reviewed by: <br />Parks Supervisor <br />Director of Public Works <br />Interim City Administrat <br />CC: 04/24/07 <br />
