Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #07- 04 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM DESIGNATIONS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for <br />a system of arterial and collector thoroughfare; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid System <br />(MSAS) under Chapter 162 of the State Statutes which promotes the construction and <br />maintenance of such an arterial and collector system; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to modify the designated <br />MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the following MSAS segments be added to the system: Andrie Street from Alpine <br />Drive to 164 Lane, a distance of 1.19 miles; 164 Lane from Andrie Street to Jarvis <br />Street, a distance of 0.68 miles; and a nonexistent segment of Yolite Street from <br />nonexistent 142 Avenue to nonexistent Riverdale Drive, a distance of 0.13 miles. <br />2. That the following segments be revoked from the system: nonexistent 142 Avenue from <br />nonexistent Yolite Street to nonexistent Variolite Street, a distance of 0.09 miles; <br />nonexistent 142 Avenue from nonexistent Variolite Street to Traprock Street, a <br />distance of 0.15 miles; and Traprock Street from nonexistent 142 Street to non existent <br />Riverdale Drive, a distance of 0.46 miles. <br />3. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified <br />copies of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration and, that <br />upon approval of the revisions of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, <br />improved and maintained as a part of the MSAS of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof- <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />RESOLUTION 07- 04 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
