Councilmember Dehen commented this is basically an opening surrounded by a concrete wall <br />that is the same height as the whole parking structure.. The only concern he would have is how <br />someone would.be found if they were to fall in. He would suggest a grate be installed or some <br />plywood with bracing. <br />Chairperson Elvig suggested the possibility of a panic bar being installed on the door. <br />Consensus of the Committee was to direct staff to pursue the costs of a panic bar being installed <br />on the door and the installation of a grate cover. <br />COMMITTEE INPUT <br />Lighting and Signag_e at Municipal Ramp <br />Chairperson Elvig directed staff to look into the amount of lights necessary at the municipal <br />parking ramp at night, and to ensure that the signage is in good condition. <br />Councilmember Dehen suggested the possibility of barricading the upper levels of the ramp to <br />keep traffic on the lower levels in order to eliminate the need to light the upper levels until the <br />ramp begins filling up. <br />157` Lane and Ramsey Boulevard Feasibility Study Informational Meeting <br />City Engineer Jankowski announced an informational meeting is scheduled for the 157` Lane <br />and Ramsey Boulevard feasibility studies on Thursday, March 22 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the <br />Alexander Ramsey Room.
