Staff is seeking input from the City Council on several issues related to the search for a new <br />city administrator: . the proposed timeline for the reIl!ainder of the search, the desired interview <br />format and the position description. <br /> <br />Search Process Timeline <br /> <br />Attached is the proposed timeline for the remainder of the city administrator search process. <br />Staff is seeking responses to the following questions: <br /> <br />1. Does the City Council wish to meet with Waters-Oldani (by conference call) the <br />day after Memorial Day, which is May 29th? This call should take approximately <br />one hour. <br />2. Does the City Council wish to hold interviews with finalists on Friday, July 6th <br />(the weekend after Independence Day) or Friday, July 13th? If the City Council <br />wishes to hold interviews on Friday, July 6th, Waters;.Oldani will check with <br />finalists in mid-June to ensure that they do not have conflicts on July 6th. <br /> <br />Interview Format <br /> <br />Staff is seeking responses from the City Council to the following questions: <br /> <br />1. Does the City Council wish to include other key stakeholders in the final <br />interview process, and if so, which key stakeholders should be included in the <br />process? <br />2. Does the City Council wish to invite spouses to the interviews? If so, this would <br />require that a separate program be arranged for spouses (e.g., meetings with <br />school officials, tours, etc.) <br />3. Does the City Council wish to hold a reception for the finalists? Invitees would <br />include the spouses of finalists, residents, business owners, board and commission <br />members and staff, for example. <br />
