PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Deemer adjourned the regular meeting at 7:34 p.m. in order to conduct the <br />following public hearings: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Establish Warehouse Operations as an Accessory <br />Use to an Office Building in the B-1 Business District; Case of Concrete Masonry Unlimited, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Establish Accessory Outdoor Recreational Uses to <br />a Restaurant and Bar; Case of Diamonds Sports Bar & Grill, Inc. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Deemer called the regular meeting back to order at 8:27 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Establish Warehouse Operations as an <br />Accessory Use to an Office Building in the B-1 Business District; Case of Concrete <br />Masonry Unlimited, Inc. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained that Concrete Masonry Unlimited, Inc., the applicant, is <br />requesting a Conditional Use Permit to establish an accessory warehouse use to a proposed office <br />building in the B-1 Business District. She stated the applicant is proposing to construct an office <br />building for his concrete masonry business with extra office space that will be offered for lease. <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik noted the Findings of Fact for consideration and explained if this request <br />is approved, the applicant will return for site plan approval. She advised the staff report contains a <br />preliminary concept plan. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen asked if materials can be viewed from outside. The applicant noted the area <br />in the back they may use in the future for a small area for outdoor storage with 100% screening. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Deemer stated he does not oppose the concept as long as outdoor storage is out <br />of sight. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue, seconded by Commissioner Terry, accepting Findings of Fact #1 - <br />11 as drafted relating to a request for a Conditional Use Permit to establish warehouse operations as <br />an accessory use to an office building in the B-1 Business District. <br /> <br />Motion Carded. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners LaDue, Terry, and Jensen. <br />Voting No: None.
