Motion by Commissioner LaDue, seconded by Commissioner Jensen, that Findlngs of Fact ~¢16 be <br />amended to read: That the proposed use will not create excessive additional requirements at <br />public cost for public facilities and services, and it will not be detrimental to the economic welfare <br />of the community. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners LaDue, Jensen, and <br />Wivoda. Voting No: Commissioner Anderson. Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wivoda, seconded by Commissioner LaDue, that Findings of Fact #17 <br />be amended to read: That the proposed use will not involve activities and uses that will be <br />detrimental to any persons, property, or the general welfare by reason of excessive production of <br />traffic, noise, smoke, fumes, glare, or odors. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Wivoda, LaDue, and <br />Jensen. Voting No: Commissioner Anderson. Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue, seconded by Commissioner Wivoda, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the amended Findings of Fact relating to Julie Kucia's request for a home <br />occupation permit for an in-home dog grooming business at 16511 Yitrium Street NW. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners LaDue, Wivoda, and <br />Jensen. Voting No: Commissioner Anderson. Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Deemer inquired if the applicant owns a dog. Ms. Kucia stated she owns a <br />dog which is trained to stay within her property boundaries. During business hours her dog will <br />be kenneled and not near the other animals. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue, seconded by Acting Chairperson Deemer, that the home <br />occupation permit item #6 be amended to read: There shall be no business identification signs, <br />other than those that comply with City Code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioner LaDue, Acting Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners <br />Jensen and Wivoda. Voting No: Commissioner Anderson. Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Commissioner Anderson stated he would be opposing the home occupation permit based on <br />residents present in opposition of the application. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wivoda, seconded by Commissioner LaDue, to recommend that City <br />Council approve Ms. Kucia's request for an in-home business at 16511 Yttrium Street N based on <br />the amended finds of fact, and adopt the home occupation permit as amended. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Wivoda, LaDue, and <br />Jensen. Voting No: Commissioner Anderson.
