1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated October 27, 1998 <br /> <br />2) City Council regular meeting minutes dated November 10, 1998 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Chairperson Deemer adjourned the special Planning Commission meeting at 7:39 p.m. in order <br />to conduct the following public hearings: <br /> <br />1) Request for a Home Occupation Permit; Case of Christine Prigge <br /> <br />2) Request to Rezone Certain Property from R-1 Rural Residential to R-1 Urban Residential; <br /> Case of Reilley Estates Partnership and Arcon Development, Inc. <br /> <br />Chairperson Deemer called the special Planning Commission meeting back to order at 8:08 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case gl: Request for a Home Occupation Permit; Case of Christine Prigge <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated Christine Prigge has applied for a home occupation permit to <br />establish a one-chair hair salon in her home at 6030 143rd Lane NW. The 205-square-foot room <br />in which the home occupation will be conducted equates to 11% of the gross floor area; City <br />Code restricts home occupations to 20%. Ms. Prigge will be the sole employee and she expects <br />to service a maximum of 10 clients per week. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Jensen and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the Findings of Fact in the affirmative as they relate to Christine Prigge's request <br />for a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Jensen, LaDue, Anderson, <br />Dempsey, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Bawden. <br /> <br />Commissioner Anderson noted that there was no neighborhood opposition received regarding <br />this request. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Wivoda to recommend that <br />City Council approve Christine Prigge's request for a home occupation permit based on the <br />findings of fact and adopt a resolution declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Anderson, Wivoda, <br />Dempsey, Jensen, and LaDue. Voting No: None.
