PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Thursday, December 3, 1998, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota, to <br />consider a request to rezone certain property from R-1 Rural Residential to R-1 Urban <br />Residential; Case of Reilley Estates Partnership and Arcon Development, Inc. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Ben Deemer <br />Commissioner Leo Anderson <br />Commissioner Chris Dempsey <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Joe Wivoda <br /> <br />Members Absent: Chairperson David Bawden <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik, Zoning Administrator <br />James Norman, City Administrator <br />William Goodrich, City Attorney <br />Cindy Sherman, Community Development Director <br />Sean Walther, Community Development Assistant <br />Rick Packer, Arcon Development, Inc. <br />Dave Sellegren, Attorney for Arcon Development, Inc. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Deemer called the public hearing to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik advised that the applicants are requesting a rezoning of property <br />located on the north side of 153rd Avenue and east of Trunk Highway #47 that is proposed to be <br />platted into single family urban residential lots. She explained that the Comprehensive Plan <br />amendment initiated by Ramsey in 1993 and approved by Metropolitan Council in 1995 put the <br />75-acre parcel in the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) for residential development with <br />urban services.
