The following is a brief summary of
actions taken by the City Council that may be of interest to the Planning Commission:

Ebony Woods. The preliminary plat, site plan, rezoning, and comprehensive plan amendment for
Ebony Woods were before the City Council on April 10, and were tabled again for additional
revisions related to the architectural elevations.

Hack Center Commercial Project. The City Council approved the preliminary site plan for the
Hack Center after a long discussion at the April 24th meeting. The applicant had replaced the
loading dock shown off of 139th Ave and Jasper St with a smaller maintenance area for
dumpsters and equipment. As part of the approval, the Council directed the applicant to remove
this area entirely and add a berm between the new buildings and the existing townhomes. The
Council also directed that no commercial vehicle parking be allowed on 139th Lane or Jasper St.
The applicant can now proceed to final site plan and final plat.

Wetland Classification Map. Again after much discussion, the City Council ratified the Wetland
Classification Map in its entirety at the April 24th meeting. Council also directed Staff to identify
available funds to ground truth the remaining wetland classes that were not visited as part of the
first round of functions and values analysis.

Discussion of the Economic Value of Open Space.
