<br />4) Review Revised Feasibility Studies for Sewer & Water Extension for 157th Lane <br />and Ramsey Boulevard <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski indicated it has been between 12 to 18 months from the time the <br />petitions have been presented for sewer and water extension projects for 157th Lane and Ramsey <br />Boulevard. It is important to determine the level of support for these projects now that assessed <br />costs to the benefited properties have been identified. Consensus of the Committee was to direct <br />staff to hold an informational meeting with the property owners regarding the revised feasibility <br />studies, and to provide the property owners with infonnation on assessment options based on the <br />following scenarios: assessments by developable lots, by front footage, and a combination of <br />both methods. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig clarified these are citizens that have petitioned the City asking for a <br />review ofthe cost for the sewer and water extension. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski announced the informational meeting will be scheduled for Thursday, <br />March 22nd at 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Alexander Ramsey Room. Notices will be sent out <br />tomorrow. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey requested that information regarding the informational meeting be <br />included in the Council Update. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by CouncilmemberOlson, to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Public Works Committee in Case No.4 and to direct staff to hold an <br />informational meeting with the property owners regarding the revised feasibility studies, and to <br />provide the property owners with infonnation on assessment options based on the following <br />scenarios: assessments by developable lots, by front footage, and a combination of both <br />methods. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Olson, Dehen, Jeffrey, <br />Look, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec requested information regarding the meeting held with the neighborhood about <br />the possibility ofthe street connection to 157th Lane. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski reported there are 89 residents who would be affected by traffic <br />changes and who were notified about the informational meeting that was held on March 7th. The <br />traffic study that was conducted was shared with the residents that attended. There were four <br />residents in attendance; two couples representing two properties. One of them had expressed <br />some concel11 about the safety of children on 157th, not only in the future but existing. The <br />second couple came for informational purposes.
