Absent: Chairperson Nixt and Board Member Van <br />Scoy. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Request for a Variance from Street Frontage or Lot Width <br />Requirements; Case of George and Denise Swanson <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Brauer closed the regular portion of the Board of Adjustment meeting at 7:12 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Brauer called the public hearing to order at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Assistant Comm~ty Development Director Frolik stated George and Denise Swanson are <br />requesting a variance to the minimum lot width or street frontage requirement in order that a <br />dwelling may be constructed on a lot they would like to purchase from Janelle McCollum. The <br />subject property is located on the south side of County Road #64 (181 st St.), approximately .4 of a <br />mile east of Baugh Street. The parcel is approximately 6.5 acres in size and is zoned R-1 Rural <br />,Developing Residential. The surrounding parcels are also zoned for single family rural residential <br />dwellings. The Swansons currently reside on the adjacent parcel that is northeast of the Subject <br />Property. They also own the approximately 7 acre parcel south of their current residence, which is <br />immediately east of the proposed building site. The Swansons would like to build a new home on <br />the parcel they would purchase from Janelle McCollum.
