S Outpost and Restaurant <br /> <br />~v.j] <br /> <br />Homeowners wanting to better understand, oper- <br />ate and maintain their septic systems will want to attend a <br />Homeowner Education for Septic Systems program being <br />presented by the University of Minnesota Extension Ser- <br />vice. Hear about water saving ideas, find out if you should <br />be using additives, and have your questions answered. <br />This free two-hour program will be held Tuesday, <br />May 1 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Bunker Hills Activities <br />Center, 550 Bunl(er Lake Blvd NW, Andover, two miles <br />west of Highway 65 on Bunl(er Lake Boulevard. <br />Pre-register at least three days prior to class by <br />calling the University of Minnesota Extension Service, <br />Anoka County at 763-755-1280, or use online registration <br />at www.extension.umn.edu/county/anoka and clicl( on Hot <br />Topics in Anoka County. Program materials are covered <br />by an Anoka County Ag Preserves Grant. <br /> <br />4 Hour Refresher Classes <br />Monday, June 4,2007,5:30 - 9:30 pm <br />Monday, July 9,2007,5:30 - 9:30 pm <br /> <br />8 Hour First Time Classes <br />Monday and Tuesday, July 16 and 17, 2007 <br />5 :30 - 9:30 pm <br /> <br /> <br />Anoka County Sesquicentennial <br />Traveling Exhibit <br /> <br />To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Anoka County, the Anoka County Historical Society has produced a travel- <br />ing exhibition that will visit each of the 21 cities and townships in Anoka County throughout 2007. Serving as a compan- <br />ion to a larger exhibition of 150 photographs at the Anoka County History Center and Library, Picturing Anoka County: A <br />Snapshot of History travels to many location in Anoka County. <br />The small exhibit features one historical photograph from each city and township as well as a handful of addi- <br />tional images of the community hosting the exhibition. Todd Mahon, Executive Director of the Historical Society, says, <br />"We're so pleased that so many businesses and organizations have volunteered to host this traveling exhibit. It's a great <br />way for us to bring the sesquicentennial to each and every community." <br />Two identical exhibits will travel simultaneously, on a staggered schedule, to assure that it will reach each com- <br />munity for a three week stay. Host locations are invited to add their own images to the exhibit if they choose.
