S Outpost and Restaurant ~v.j] Homeowners wanting to better understand, oper- ate and maintain their septic systems will want to attend a Homeowner Education for Septic Systems program being presented by the University of Minnesota Extension Ser- vice. Hear about water saving ideas, find out if you should be using additives, and have your questions answered. This free two-hour program will be held Tuesday, May 1 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Bunker Hills Activities Center, 550 Bunl(er Lake Blvd NW, Andover, two miles west of Highway 65 on Bunl(er Lake Boulevard. Program materials are covered by an Anoka County Ag Preserves Grant. 4 Hour Refresher Classes Monday, June 4,2007,5:30 - 9:30 pm Monday, July 9,2007,5:30 - 9:30 pm 8 Hour First Time Classes Monday and Tuesday, July 16 and 17, 2007 5 :30 - 9:30 pm Anoka County Sesquicentennial Traveling Exhibit To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Anoka County, the Anoka County Historical Society has produced a travel- ing exhibition that will visit each of the 21 cities and townships in Anoka County throughout 2007. Serving as a compan- ion to a larger exhibition of 150 photographs at the Anoka County History Center and Library, Picturing Anoka County: A Snapshot of History travels to many location in Anoka County. The small exhibit features one historical photograph from each city and township as well as a handful of addi- tional images of the community hosting the exhibition. Todd Mahon, Executive Director of the Historical Society, says, "We're so pleased that so many businesses and organizations have volunteered to host this traveling exhibit. It's a great way for us to bring the sesquicentennial to each and every community." Two identical exhibits will travel simultaneously, on a staggered schedule, to assure that it will reach each com- munity for a three week stay. Host locations are invited to add their own images to the exhibit if they choose. A third exhibit is also available for community festivals and special events.
