' Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />RESOLUTION ALLOWING CITY EMPLOYEES TO <br />VOLUNTEER WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY <br />WHEREAS, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is planning to build 24 <br />townhouses in Ramsey over the next three years; and <br />WHEREAS, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity created the Habitat Partnership of <br />Northwest Anoka County (HPAC) to help with fundraising, community engagement and <br />volunteer recruitment; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is proposing that the City Council extend this volunteer <br />opportunity to Ramsey employees. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey ,confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to grant four hours of paid leave to full -time employees who use <br />four hours of accrued leave to participate in the Habitat for Humanity volunteer project. <br />• This offer would be extended to a maximum of 15 employees on a first come, first served <br />basis.
