Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report • <br />March 2007 <br />General Police Statistics and Hip <br />■ Animal Control <br />Nine dogs and one cat were impounded in March. Seven animals were returned to their <br />owners and three were adopted out. <br />■ Recreational Vehicles <br />There were nine snowmobile complaints and one ATV complaint in March. <br />Additionally, officers issued three citations for snowmobile violations and one for an <br />ATV violation. <br />■ Check Forgery Investigation <br />continues involving suspects • <br />The investigation continues resumed to be part of a felony mail theft P p <br />and check forgery ring within the City of Ramsey. With the help of Elk River Police <br />Department and the Carlton County Sheriff s Department, investigators were able to <br />obtain a search warrant for a Ramsey residence. During the search, numerous checking <br />making items, as well as laptop computers were seized. Analysis of the evidence and <br />forensics on the laptops are pending. Two of the suspects are currently in custody in <br />Carlton County for similar thefts and forgeries. <br />■ Methamphetamine Lab <br />On March 25', residents in the area of the 15100 block of Puma Street, found possible <br />remnants of a methamphetamine lab. The Ramsey Police and Fire departments <br />responded and found hazardous materials within fuel cans, one gallon containers, and <br />broken glass jars. The area was secured and a clean up company, West Central <br />Environmental Consultants, was called in to facilitate the cleanup. <br />1�1 <br />ODIC <br />
