Brothers Properties is proposing to lease their property to Rain For Rent, a company that
rents equipment for construction services. The property located at 6300 Bunker Lake Boulevard
is zoned E-l Employment, and a CUP is required for the requested use. The property is 2.5 acres
in size, and based on the amount of outdoor display proposed, it is determined to be a principal
use of the property.

Associate Planner Daines stated Rain for Rent, a company that rents and sells equipment to store
large amounts of water for construction projects, proposes to utilize approximately 20,000 square
feet of the inside perimeter of the property to store their equipment. This equipment will be
stored on the property while it is not being rented, and will be moved to and from the property
regularly. This will require the use of heavy loading vehicles. City Code allows open or outdoor
services, sale, display, and rental as a principal use, provided the following items are addressed:

1) The use does not take up parking space or loading areas required for conformity to this
Chapter.

Planning Commission/April 5, 2007
