<br />,. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-04-099 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE UTILIZATION OF <br />P AID-ON-CALL FIREFIGHTERS FOR FIRE CODE INSPECTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the backlog of fire inspections has created a need to provide <br />assistance to the fire marshal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the fire department has used firefighters to assist with pre-planning <br />activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the fire chief recommends leveraging the training and skills and <br />existing paid-on-call firefighters. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />I) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to authorize the creation of a part-time temporary paid-on- <br />call fire inspector assignment. <br /> <br />2) The pool of employees given this assignment will be paid $ 19/hour and will work <br />up to 10 hours per week. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br />
