Mike Berkopac, the Business Manager for ACE, has <br />submitted a letter stating that they anticipate construction of the transfer station to be initiated <br />this year, however they will be unable to meet the May 30, 2003 timeline. City Staff <br />recommended extending the construction timeline in the Development Permit to May 30, 2004 at <br />the request of the applicant. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson inquired if the issue of Damxy's Tranny being located on a portion of <br />the ACE Solid Waste property had been addressed. <br /> <br />Mike Berkopac, Ace Solid Waste, replied that that issue has not yet been resolved, but it will not <br />be a real problem until they begin construction. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to adopt Resolution <br />#03-05-105 extending the May 30, 2003 Development Permit construction timeline to May 30, <br />2004, in order to initiate construction of the transfer station for ACE Solid Waste. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Pearson, Cook, Elvig, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec complimented ACE Solid Waste for operating a very good clean business in the <br />City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Lot 3, Block 1, Gateway North <br />Industrial Park No. 5, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the City received a letter of intent from W Properties, LLC to <br />purchase Lot 3, Block 1, Gateway North Industrial Park No. 5 and construct a building at a later <br />date. Negotiations are currently underway and staff will bring the Development Agreement to <br />the City Council for approval.
