CONSIDER RE-APPOINTMENTS TO PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> By: Heidi A. Nelson, Asst. City Administrator <br /> <br />PC# <br /> <br />Background: <br /> As of the end of 2002, three members of the Planning Commission completed their first four- <br />year term. Each of these members were contacted regarding their interest in being re-appointed for a <br />second and final term on the Planning Commission. Commissioners Johnson and Nixt both expressed <br />their desire to be re-appointed and Commissioner Kociscak expressed his desire not to be re-appointed. <br />Currently, a recruitment process is underway to fill the vacancy created by Commissioner Kociscak. <br />Letters of interest in re-appointment fi.om Johnson and Nixt are attached: <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff is recommending that Commissioners Johnson and Nixt be re-appointed for a second term to the <br />Planning Commission for the term of 01/01/03-12/31/06. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br />1. Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve Staff recommendation to re-appoint <br /> Robert Johnson to the Planning Commission for the term of 01/01/03-12/31/06. <br />2. Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve Staff recommendation to re-appoint <br /> Michael Nixt the Planning Commission for the term of 01/01/03-12/31/06. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br />1.
