I I I I I I I I i I I I I I I i I I CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at Ramsey Fire Station No. 2, 15050 Armstrong BoUlevard NW, Ramsey, MinneSota. Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec Councilmember Patti Kurak Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman Council-Elect Todd Cook Council-Elect David Elvig Council:Elect Al Pearson Council-Elect Sarah Strommen Also Present: City Administrator James E. Norman Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson Human Resources Manager Patrick Leadens CALL TO ORDER Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work SesSion to order at 5:50 p.m. APPROVE AGENDA COUNCIL-ELECT TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION 1) Council Representation on Committee Board & Commissions City Administrator Norman reminded the Council that during the first meeting of the. year, City Council must adopt a Council organiZation' resOlution. This resolution will assign Councilmembers to various committees, boards and commissions. A survey had been distributed, collected and tabulated which allowed each Councilmember to designate a committee, board and/or commission preference. The Council agreed to appoint three members apiece to each of the Pre-Council meeting Committees - Personnel Committee and Finance Committee. Todd Cook, Patti Kurak, and A1 Pearson were assigned to the Personnel Committee and David Etvig, Sarah Strommen and Gerald Zimmerman will be appointed to the Finance Committee. with the Mayor serving as alternate to both Committees. The Council agreed to make the appointments to Standing Committees as follows: David Elvig, Patti Kurak and Gerald Zimmerman to Public Works, with the Mayor as-alternate, A1 Pearson and Mayor Gamec to Public Safety Board, Patti Kurak and Sarah Strommen to .Economic Development Authority.
