Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adOptioni <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROMOTION OF THOMAS LUECK <br /> TO THE POSITION OF SERGEANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council authorized the reorganization of the Police DePartment <br />at their regular meeting of January 28, 2003; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Thomas Lueck is currently serving as Corpora! as a result of a <br />protnotion in December 2002; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Thomas Lueck was appointed to the position of Corporal after an <br />internal recruitment process that included testing for the position of Sergeant and <br />interviews; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, with the authorized reorganization the position of Corporal will be <br />replaced with an additional Sergeant position to provide supervision for .each of <br />the shifts conducted daily by the Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Thomas Lueck is qualified for the position of Sergeant and is <br />recommended for the promotion to the position of Sergeant by the Police Chief. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City Of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to promote Thomas Lueck to position of Sergeant at an annual <br />rate of $59,347 effective with the authorized reorganization of the Police Department. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was dulY seconded by Council <br />member , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in faVor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the RamSey City <br />Council this the 28th day of January 2003. <br /> <br />-131- <br /> <br /> <br />
