The Honorable Judge Quinn <br />February 21, 2003 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />The Charter Commission met jointly with the City Council on August 15, 2002 and discussed <br />City Manager versus City Administrator form of government. A lengthy discussion ensued, <br />however, no recommendations were made to proceed to a change. A suggestion was made that <br />the City should see how the seven-person Council works, and discuss the issue of a change in the <br />form of government in a year or so. <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Simenson was appointed to fill the vacancy on Ramsey's Charter Commission in <br />October 2002. <br /> <br />On November 5, 2002, the voters of Ramsey, voted to delete Section 3.2 relating to Liaison <br />Function and 3.2.1 relating to Precinct Liaison, and also to delete Chapter 14 entitled <br />Metropolitan Urban Service Area, in its entirety. <br /> <br />Very truly yours, <br /> <br />Timothy Vogt <br />Charter Commission Chairperson <br /> <br />Charter Commission <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
