I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councihnember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # 03-02- RESOLUTION APPOINTING GIVONNA REED AS INTERIM HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER AND APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH LABOR RELATIONS ASSOCIATES, Inc. FOR RECRUITMENT SERVICES WHEREAS, Mr. Curt Boganey will be leaVing his assignment as Interim Human Resources Manager creating a vacancy in the Human Resources Manager position; and WHEREAS, it is critical to continued effective operation of the City that this position be filled on a interim and permanent basis; and WHEREAS, the City Administrator has recommended that GiVonna Reed be appointed to fill this position on an interim basis; and WHEREAS, the City Administrator has recommended a contract with Labor Relations Associates Incorporated to assist with the recruitment and selection of a full-time regular Human Resources Manager; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee has reviewed this matter and recommended approval. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: The City Administrator is authorized to appoint Givonna Reed as the Interim Human Resources Manger to be compensated at cost of $35.00 per hour. The City Administrator is authorized to enter into a contract with Labor Relations Associates Inc. to provide recruitment and selection services for the position-of Human Resources Manager in an amount not to exceed $ 6,800.00 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 1 lth day of February 2003. -245-
