-266- Councihnember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROPOSAL FOR SpAcE NEEDS ASSESSMENT FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT FACILITIES AND USE OF FUNDS FROM 2002 BUDGET WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the Space Needs Assessment that was conducted in 1999 for City Hall and updated current development and related staff projections; and WHEREAS, the Police Department facility was not included as a part of the 1999 Space Needs Assessment; and WHEREAS, to provide for continued coordination of services and the working relationship between the Police Department and other City operations, planning should be initiated to include Police FacilitieS in a new City Hall. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE cITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: l) 2) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes proceeding with the proposal from BKV Group for a Space Needs Assessment for the Police Department at a cost not to exceed $11,500. That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes the use of funds encumbered from the 2002 budget for this purpose.
