';'ltl'/ <br />CityoJ ~. <br />RAMSEY <br /> <br />Memo <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />June 1, 2007 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Ramsey Planning Commission <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Staff Update <br /> <br />MayS and May 22 City Council meeting review. The following is a brief summary of actions <br />taken by the City Council that may be of interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Brookfield 3rd Addition. The City Council approved the final plat for Brookfield 3rd Addition, the <br />third phase of the Brookfield project. <br /> <br />Crest View Senior Communities. The City Council approved the preliminary site plan for the <br />new Crest View facility in Town Center at their May 22nd meeting. Crest View expects to break <br />ground in 2009. <br /> <br />Symphony at Town Center '- K Hovnanian Homes. Also on May 22nd, the Council approved a <br />revised preliminary plat and site plan for Symphony at Town Center. The applicant had <br />requested the revision in order to modify the mix of unit styles within the proj ect. <br /> <br />Ramsey3. The Open Space Technology event was held on May 4 and 5 and was a big success. <br />Attached is a writeup of the issues that were raised and associated discussion points. <br /> <br />Conservation-Based Affordable Housing. The DNR and the MN Chapter of the Urban Land <br />Institute are sponsoring a workshop examining the affordability of residential developments <br />designed with conservation in mind. The workshop will be held on June 13 and is free, but <br />registration is required.
